On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Sales Manager for their B2B Food & Beverage Ingredients business. Our client is a successful provider of high-quality fruit and vegetable ingredients for the food and beverage industry. They specialize in sourcing, processing, and delivering natural ingredients to food and beverage manufacturers worldwide, with a strong focus on the beverage segment (60-70% of their portfolio). Their office culture is informal and collaborative, and they work as a close-knit team with a strong commitment to sustainability, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Our client is looking for an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager for their B2B Food & Beverage Ingredients business, primarily focusing on the German (DACH) market. In this role, you'll manage key customer accounts, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to efficient raw material sourcing. Your role will be crucial in balancing commercial growth with supply chain resilience while maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers. The position offers a balance of responsibilities with approximately 80% focused on sales activities and 20% on sourcing. Your Main Responsibilities Manage key B2B customer relationships, including food manufacturers and beverage producers in the DACH region Handle negotiations, pricing, and contract agreements to drive profitability Work closely with R&D and technical teams to support customers in product development and innovation projects Stay on top of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs Contribute to relationships with growers, processors, and suppliers Ensure quality, cost efficiency, and sustainability in the sales process Monitor commodity pricing and market trends to optimize sales strategies Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings Ensure cross-functional alignment between sales, supply chain, quality, and operations What We're Looking For Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Business, or a related field 8+ years of experience in sales in the food and beverage ingredients industry Proven track record in B2B sales with direct end-customer relationships Strong understanding of fruit and vegetable ingredients (such as concentrates, purees, dried or frozen products) and their particular seasonality Experience specifically with beverage applications is highly desirable Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills A proactive, independent, and results-driven mindset Fluent in English and German; additional European languages are a plus A dynamic, growing company where you can make an impact An informal, friendly, and supportive team that works together to achieve success The opportunity to shape the commercial strategy within an expanding international business Competitive salary package with performance-based bonus structure Flexible work arrangement: home-based with visits to their Breda office twice every two weeks Standard employment terms include a 40-hour work week and a permanent contract The Ideal Candidate Beyond the core requirements, the ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership potential and a strategic mindset.
