Description

Iron City Motorcycles is the driving force of motorcycle retail, service and repair in the north of the UK.
Our South Shields dealership has franchise agreements with both KTM and Royal Enfield.
We have an opportunity for a General & Sales Manager. We are looking for the right candidate to help cement our business as a top performer and help drive further growth.
This is a lifestyle role and ideally suits a candidate with a love & passion for all things motorcycles. The right candidate will have the ability to drive and develop the sales team whilst being conscious of delivering the highest level of customer service.
The role is Tuesday to Saturday we do not trade on Sunday or Mondays. There is expectation to attend and host occasional bike events that may be out of hours to maximise sales.

Your Duties will include:

  • To maximise profit in all areas of responsibility.
  • To develop and agree sales plans and budgets, including all bikes, accessories and all related items to achieve sales and financial targets.
  • To oversee and develop service and parts departments
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify areas for growth
  • Value and purchase used motorcycles for stock
  • Maximise used vehcile stock turn and ensuring competitive pricing on adopted vehicles
  • To deliver results to meet and where possible exceed agreed budgets.
  • To implement effective policies and procedures in order to maximise sales opportunities.
  • To inspire, provide leadership and effectively manage all staff in order to maximise productivity and meet or exceed sales and profit targets.
  • To ensure delivery of excellent customer service within all areas of responsibility.
  • To work & plan effectively with all other key personnel with head office in addition to your direct reports in the dealership to establish and implement best practice and ensure our customers receive exceptional customer service.
  • To ensure full compliance to FCA guidelines on the selling of financial services and products by all relevant staff.

THE IDEAL GENERAL & SALES MANAGER WILL HOLD THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Proven negotiator.
  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent understanding of new bike sales and experience of used vehicle sales & vehicle valuation
  • Experienced running a sales team.
  • IT literate with a full UK driving licence
  • Motorcycle driving licence
    It’s essential you have experience within the motor trade - at least 5 year’s experience within a management role
