Description

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least a Diploma or its equivalent preferably in Sales & Marketing
  • Effective time management and consistent attention to detail
  • Minimum 5 years managerial experience in managing a team
  • Relevant experience in general trade handling MP/OP/WS/Distributor
  • Prior experience in handling direct sales force will be added advantage
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and SAP

Responsibilities
  • Leading the sales team to achieve annual and monthly sales objectives with profitability thru distribution, new outlet acquisition, merchandising and trade promotion.
  • To prepare business and sales plan/ budget for assigned department to achieve sales objectives.
  • Work closely with Trade Marketing and Marketing to ensure sales, brand & sales objectives are met. To ensure company’s strategies are properly cascaded down to the sales team.
  • Gather and provide market intelligence to superior on competitor activities/trade covering sales, product launches, prices distribution, etc to ensure company can stay ahead of the competition.
  • Must ensure that the sales team has the capability and resources so that implementation of company’s strategies is possible.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain on stocks forecast to ensure stocks availability.
  • Work closely with Finance on outstanding AR, billing issues and resolve claims within aligned time. Ensure compliance of credit policy for all sales team.
  • Build rapport and good business relationships with customers and serve as valuable company conduit to ensure company interest are protected whilst meeting customer and consumer needs.
  • To conduct business reviews with key customers to improve sales performance and to further develop company business.
  • Accountable for the P&L of the sales channel in charge, make necessary changes to ensure team stay competitive against competition which includes reviewing of route-to-market model and cost to serve from times to times.
  • Undertake other ad hoc assignments as required.
