Description
Position Overview Grand View Lodge is looking for a driven, relationship-focused Sales Manager to grow business across assigned and self-identified markets. You'll own the full sales cycle; prospecting new accounts, negotiating and contracting business, managing existing client relationships, and maximizing lodging and package revenue through strategic selling. This is a role for someone with genuine sales instincts: you're proactive, persistent, and energized by building the kind of client relationships that result in repeat business year after year. Production and teamwork are both central to success here, and both are recognized and rewarded. High performers have a clear path into senior sales roles as the property and company continue to grow. About Grand View Lodge & Cote Hospitality For over 100 years, Cote Hospitality has crafted transformative guest experiences across world-class resorts and camps. At Grand View Lodge, that means exceptional wellness woven into a full resort lifestyle, golf, dining, events, and more, all grounded in our CoteCares culture of belonging, respect, and shared purpose. We're invested in your growth here: this role comes with real opportunity to advance and expand your skills within our Sales department. Duties & Responsibilities: * Prospect and develop new business through direct outreach, site visits, targeted account mapping, and strategic identification of companies and markets with strong group and lodging potential. * Manage assigned territory accounts; building and maintaining positive, professional client relationships through timely, accurate, and reliable communication. * Negotiate business, develop and send proposals, and book and contract group and lodging business within established selling guidelines. * Maximize ADR and room night consumption through selective selling practices and a clear focus on revenue optimization across lodging and packages. * Utilize existing data and lead generation tools to identify new opportunities; document and report sales activity and results consistently. * Respond promptly to all correspondence from assigned accounts; maintain accurate trace dates and follow-up schedules. * Help develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to capture key demographics and expand market reach. * Represent Grand View Lodge at trade shows, sales meetings, industry seminars, and membership functions relevant to assigned territories; staying current on trends and bringing back actionable recommendations. * Travel to target markets for direct sales calls and client visits as needed. * Maintain seamless communication with Front Desk and Reservations to ensure group and lodging bookings are handed off accurately and effectively. * Lead by example; bringing a positive, professional presence to every client interaction and team collaboration. * May hire, mentor, and evaluate sales support staff as the role and territory grow. * This is a resort hospitality role; availability on weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak seasons and for key sales events is required. What you bring:  * 2+ years of hotel or resort sales experience preferred; you understand the rhythms of hospitality sales and know how to move business through a pipeline. * A proven ability to prospect and close; you're comfortable making the call, building the relationship, and asking for the business. * Strong negotiation skills and sound judgment on pricing, terms, and selective selling within established guidelines. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills; your proposals and client correspondence reflect the caliber of the property you represent. * Exceptional organizational skills; you manage multiple accounts, trace dates, and deadlines without dropping the ball. * Tech-proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; comfortable with sales and property management software and quick to learn new systems. * A self-starter mindset; assertive, outgoing, and able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a close-knit sales team. * Willingness to travel as required for direct sales calls, site visits, and trade shows. Why join us You'll be part of a team that genuinely invests in its people. CoteCares isn't a tagline, it's how we show up for each other every day.
