• Proactively hunt for new sales leads through outbound outreach, networking, cold calling and industry events
• Attract and secure new avenues of business by selling the City of Hamilton as a destination in addition to our facility
• Work with the City of Hamilton’s Tourism department to submit applications to host a variety of city wide events
• Cultivate relationships with key decision makers, businesses and associations in Hamilton and surrounding markets
• Generate and close event sales opportunities for corporate and large scale clients
• Conduct client consultations and site tours to present venue options and offerings
• Prepare and present customized proposals and contracts; follow up to secure bookings
• Respond promptly and professionally to inbound event inquiries
• Use upselling techniques to maximize revenue and client value
• Maintain accurate records of sales activity
• Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs
• Represent the Hamilton Convention Centre at tradeshows, business networking events and meetings with Tourism Hamilton and other industry partners
