Omshera Hotel Group, based in Charlotte, NC, is looking for a dynamic individual that wants to be a part of something special at one of their hotels in the Ballantyne Charlotte (NC) area.
Hyatt House Rea Farms is looking for a seasoned Sales Manager with experience (Hyatt preferred)
The goal always is to deliver leading results in capturing and closing groups and meeting events with support to the Corporate Director of Sales for transient and extended stay business. Manage catering and Group accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded. Responsible for soliciting new catering and Group sales accounts and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals in food, beverage and room rental segments. Manage upcoming groups and events, and meet clients’ needs through active communication, planning, and team leadership.
This position reports directly to the Corporate Director of Sales.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent service for all events and act as the primary resource for all functions at the hotel with the support of the hotel team.
    · Optimizes group rooms, banquet and catering revenues through the monitoring of group and banquet/catering pricing through utilization of brand tools and resources.

· Analyzes Sales System, catering and revenue management reports to identify trends and future demand opportunities.

  • Respond within set guidelines to inbound sales leads from all designated sources.
  • Solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
  • Achieve or exceed set Sales Goals for LEAD Closure.
  • Manage Leads from initial contact through proposal and closed statuses.
  • Participate in the research process for the Comp Set’s products, services and pricing and use it to develop strategic business plans.
  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel to previous, current and potential clients, including room rental, A/V and other revenue generation opportunities.
  • Consistently book and participate in the re-booking of repeat business by having a track record of long term client relationships.
  • Participate in sales blitzes and other promotional programs.
  • Detailed execution of all banquet event orders generated by the associate for groups and catering events.
  • Monitor group room blocks and pick up, generate detailed resumes for the operating departments.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills and abilities:
· Work location on site – full time position
· Hospitality experience required; 2 years college or relative experience
· Minimum of two years in hotel sales preferred
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Delphi FDC and/or Hyatt experience is preferred
· Excellent customer service and sales skills
· Ability to prioritize, problem-solve and stay positive in a fast paced environment
· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
