We are looking for a highly driven and strategic Sales Manager – Industrial Engines to lead and grow our industrial engine business across the U.S. and Canada. This role is crucial to expanding our presence in key industrial applications — including construction, agriculture, power generation, and material handling — through strong distributor partnerships and OEM engagement.
You’ll be at the forefront of identifying new business opportunities, driving sales performance, and ensuring our distributors are equipped to deliver best-in-class solutions to their customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of Scania’s industrial segment in North America and make a lasting impact in a competitive and evolving market.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead industrial engine sales to our distributor network across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Identify and develop new OEMs and key accounts in target industries (e.g., power generation, construction, material handling).
  • Serve as the main point of contact for industrial engine business strategy and execution within your area of responsibility.
  • Manage product lifecycle and support pricing strategies to ensure profitability and alignment with Scania’s value offering.
  • Gather and channel products markets, and customer insights back to the organization.
  • Provide structured sales training and continuous support to distributors and their sales teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on forecasting, volume planning, and product positioning.
  • Track and report on sales activities, pricing, margins, customer pipelines, and business performance.
  • Support distributors with RFPs/RFQs and customer-specific proposals.
  • Attending and represent Scania at industry events, trade shows, and distributor meetings.
  • Promote strong alignment between distributors and internal stakeholders (technical, aftermarket, product, finance, etc.).
  • Ensure customer expectations are met through high standards of professionalism and service delivery.
  • Uphold Scania’s safety, compliance, and quality policies at all times.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Solid experience in industrial equipment or off-road engine applications (required).
  • Background in distributor or OEM sales, preferably in powertrain or machinery segments.

KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Strategic thinker with a strong commercial mindset.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and close deals.
  • Strong understanding of engine applications and technical performance.
  • Financial acumen — able to interpret P&L, pricing structures, and margin impacts.
  • Confident presenter and skilled communicator (both written and verbal).
  • Self-motivated, hands-on, and comfortable working with autonomy.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Persistent, goal-oriented, and adaptable to change.
