Description

Kenect Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Manager to work with a builders merchant in the area of Rickmansworth offering anywhere in-between £45,000 - £55,000 OTE.
Our client is a well-established and growing supplier of high-quality building materials, catering to both domestic and commercial construction projects. With a strong reputation for excellent customer service and product expertise, they support a wide range of clients including builders, contractors, and developers. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead their sales team and contribute to ongoing business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of internal and external sales representatives.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans focused on revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in domestic and commercial markets.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct regular site visits and client meetings to understand project requirements and offer tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
  • Drive the promotion of new product lines and seasonal offerings.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to boost brand visibility.
  • Monitor sales performance, prepare regular reports, and forecast future sales trends.
  • Manage pricing strategies and ensure margin targets are met.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or senior sales professional in the building materials, construction supply, or merchant sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • A solid understanding of the UK construction industry, including domestic and commercial project cycles.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Results-driven with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential for client/site visits).
