Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Sales Professional to join our Sales team as our Sales Manager - MICE. Supporting our Sales Director and wider team, this role is focused on proactively identifying, developing, securing and maintaining new business opportunities from the MICE market across your specific territories including areas of Scotland, England and mainland Europe.

Your duties will include;

  • Increasing room nights and resort revenues from both the domestic Scottish market and Internationally whilst removing market share from the competitive set.
  • Working independently to achieve objectives with minimal support.
  • Produce targeted sales plan to achieve or exceed group room night & revenue goals.
  • Develop existing corporate and agency relationships in order to maximise opportunities and encourage repeat revenues.
  • Proactively identify, research, develop and maintain new client relationships and opportunities to increase the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort & Spa’s visibility across the MICE segments within defined sales territories.
  • Lead strategic process improvement initiatives as determined by the Director of Sales.
  • Accompany and entertain clients during site inspections where appropriate. Including potential new business, FAM trips, journalists and media.
  • Identify and attend industry events and shows throughout the year, locally, nationally and internationally.
  • Update Sales CRM with all sales leads, accounts, appointments, notes and subsequent actions.
  • Keep daily and regular contact with current and future business partners and stake holders (locally, nationally and internationally)

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A proactive approach to your work and the ability to work with minimal mentoring and supervision.
  • 4+ years relevant sales experience within Scottish markets, ideally within a luxury resort or equivalent.
  • Computer literacy, including experience using SalesForce or an equivalent program.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organisational skills
  • A bachelors degree (preferred)
