Description
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving strategic business growth across Malaysia and Brunei by expanding Interwell’s presence in the Oil & Gas sector. This role leads the end-to-end sales lifecycle, from identifying high-value opportunities to securing contracts and delivering on revenue targets. The position requires a strong blend of commercial acumen and technical expertise in well intervention, completion tools, and sustainable energy solutions, while also leading and developing a high-performing sales team and managing complex client engagements. * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or any related field. * Over 10 years of experience in sales within the Oil & Gas industry * Strong technical knowledge of well intervention and completion tools * Proven track record in delivering sales growth and managing key accounts * Experience leading and managing high-performing sales teams * Expertise in managing complex technical projects and securing contracts with major operators  * Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills * Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities * Strong proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce/SAP) and project management software. * Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across different cultures and markets. * Willingness to travel regionally and internationally as needed. Sales Strategy: * Develop and execute regional sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion * Identify and pursue high-value opportunities within the Oil & Gas and energy sectors * Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to refine sales approaches * Establish clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics aligned with company objectives * Lead efforts in customer relationship management, ensuring long-term partnerships and satisfaction. Client Engagement: * Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key clients and stakeholders * Act as the primary commercial point of contact for strategic accounts * Lead client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure contracts * Understand client technical requirements and align solutions in collaboration with internal teams. * Manage the full project lifecycle, from opportunity identification to contract negotiation and execution, ensuring alignment with client needs and regulatory requirements. * Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals for tenders, including contract negotiations and bid submissions. * Oversee the execution of well completion and intervention projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and troubleshooting. Market Analysis & Strategic Reporting: * Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, client needs, and competitor activities to provide insights for strategic decision-making. * Prepare and present regular business development and sales performance reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements and opportunities. Technical & Operational Expertise: * Provide technical support and guidance on completion tools, well intervention, and emerging low-carbon technologies such as CCUS and geothermal energy. * Collaborate closely with internal teams including engineering, operations, and legal to deliver customized solutions that meet client specifications. * Stay updated on the latest innovations in downhole tools, well intervention technologies, and sustainable energy solutions. Sales Team Leadership: * Lead, mentor, and develop the Sales team to achieve high performance and capability growth * Set clear expectations, monitor performance, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback * Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture * Coordinate closely with technical, operations, and management teams to ensure alignment * Oversee pipeline management and ensure accurate sales forecasting
