Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and visionary Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in Miri, Malaysia. As a Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving our company’s sales growth, developing and implementing effective sales strategies, and leading a high-performing sales team.

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets across various market segments.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team fostering a high-performance culture to maximize productivity and success.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for business growth and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Front Office, Revenue Management, Marketing and F&B) to enhance guest satisfaction and drive repeat business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel agents, event planners and corporate partners to secure long-term partnerships.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs, showcasing the hotel’s unique offerings.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Forecast sales, set team goals, and develop action plans to meet and exceed revenue and occupancy objectives.
  • Implement and optimize sales processes to improve efficiency, streamline workflow, and enhance productivity.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging markets, and best practices in hotel sales and revenue management.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar capacity within the hotel industry, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue and securing corporate, leisure and MICE business.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR.
  • Strong understanding of hotel sales processes, revenue management principles and market segmentation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and event planners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret market trends, competitor analysis, and performance data to make strategic decisions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills with a customer-centric approach to building long-term business relationships.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a sales team to achieve ambitious revenue targets and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple client portfolios and business development activities effectively.
  • Adaptability to changing market conditions, evolving customer preferences and business needs.
  • Familiarity with the local hospitality and business landscape in Miri, Malaysia is an advantage.
