Role Overview
The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading business development, strategic marketing, and client relationship management. The successful candidate will develop and execute sales strategies, oversee brand positioning, and ensure alignment between business goals and customer needs. This role is ideal for a motivated professional eager to drive revenue growth and increase theoptimisebrand visibility within the risk management sector.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with business objectives.
Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities across targeted industries.
Maintain and grow strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Lead negotiations of contracts including proposal writing, renewals, and agreeing rates with clients.
Cultivate partnerships between tier 1, 2 and 3 clients to enhance optimise’s market and service position and collaborate to bid for higher value work.
Analyse market trends and adjust sales approaches to maximise impact, providing detailed reports to business leaders as required.
Monitor and predict market movements and suggest and support the development of new products and services to accelerate business growth.
Brand Positioning
Develop and execute marketing campaigns that drive engagement and business leads.
Oversee branding, messaging, and creation and development of promotional materials to strengthen optimise’ s industry positioning.
Utilise digital marketing tools and platforms, to enhance outreach efforts.
Represent and be the face of the company at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
Manage social media presence and thought leadership content.
Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management
Lead client onboarding and account management processes.
Maintain accurate CRM records to track business development activities.
Work cross-functionally with technical teams to tailor solutions to client needs.
Provide insights on customer feedback and industry trends to inform and support the business strategy.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Proven track record of success in consultancy, sales, client engagement, and contract negotiations.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals effectively.
Excellent communication and presentation skills both internally and externally.
Capable of engaging with senior stakeholders.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot).
Ability to manage multiple projects with effective time management and strong self-discipline.
Desirable Skills
Background in networking and tendering for Government public and private sector contracts.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Ability to leverage technology, automation, and artificial intelligence to increase efficiency in delivery.
Experience in marketing strategy development, including digital and traditional marketing channels
Ability to use marketing platforms

What We Offer:
£35,000 base + 2.5% commission-based OTE up to £60,000
