Responsibilities
  • Primary responsibility for selling into the local Railway Market, Railway Communication Connective Solutions and technology, Railway Wire and Cable, antenna and connector products in power, data, Radio Frequency and Fiber Optic into this market.
  • To provide exceptional technical and engineering support to the customer base in terms of our Railway portfolio.
  • To assist Sales peer group in the attainment of profitable, long term sales growth
  • To advise on, and position, new growth opportunities for all products, as per specific market segment strategy
  • To manage the highest level of service to all customers, external and internal
  • To plan and carry out Company policies to all phases of sales activity, personally or by delegation
  • To interact with the wider Railway and Transportation team, and other applicable H+S offices to ensure effective communication.
  • To oversee and manage that technical certification with our local customer base is met.
  • Ensuring country specific guidelines are communicated, and understood within the company, to ensure our long term growth.
  • To ensure “design in” at a project level with our major clients the region is successfully achieved
  • Promote and sell all products and technologies offered by HUBER+SUHNER
  • Understand the market segment, key players and application / products
  • Co-ordinate the overall implementation of agreed Railway market plans and initiatives
  • Work as part of the wider Railway Segment team, Help identify potential new customers / projects for other Sales Managers.
  • Support the customer base with technical documentation, and knowledge.
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities and communicate successes.
  • Ensure Railway segment sales, order, and margin targets are maintained.
  • Anticipate, plan for and measure business conditions occurring within market.
  • Have a full understanding of the status of your market at all times including, but not limited to:
  • Open quotes
  • Open orders (forward order book)
  • Customer payment issues
  • Overdue orders
  • Annual price agreements
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process
  • Report monthly on Orders & Sales activities for agreed periods and Railway Market / customer intelligence
  • Support the Sales and Operations Planning process. Providing information on potential and running customer forecasts.
  • Manage technical certifications and approvals
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures
  • Carry out an reasonable duties as and when required
