About the Role FMI is currently recruiting for a Sales Manager – Retail Sales & Brand Influence to lead a field sales team representing a leading portfolio of Reckitt brands across the retail sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused and people-oriented sales professional to lead, coach and support a team of Sales Representatives, driving sales, availability, visibility and brand influence across multiples, convenience stores, forecourts and independent retail outlets. You will play a key role in supporting the growth and in-store presence of well-known Reckitt brands, including Lemsip, Strepsils, Gaviscon, Finish and Vanish. What You’ll Be Doing As Sales Manager, you will: Lead,coach and support a team of field-based Sales Representatives. Drive team performance against sales, distribution, availability,visibility and promotional targets. Support the team in building strong relationships with store managers, department managers and retail decision-makers. Influence in-store execution and ensure brand priorities are delivered effectively. Identify opportunities to grow sales, distribution, product range and secondary display space. Monitor and support delivery of promotional activity, point-of-sale implementation and brand standards. Conduct field visits, coaching days and performance reviews with team members. Review team reporting, sales updates, stock checks and store visit activity. Provide regular feedback on performance, market activity, competitor activity and customer insights. Work closely with internal teams and client stakeholders to ensure strong account delivery. What We’re Looking For We are looking for a confident, commercially minded Sales Manager who can lead from the front and support a field sales team to deliver strong results. The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in field sales, retail sales, FMCG, grocery, convenience, pharmacy, healthcare,house hold or consumer goods. Previous people management, supervisory or field coaching experience. Strong leadership,coaching and communication skills. Excellent influencing and relationship-building ability. Confidence engaging with store managers, retail teams, client contacts and internal stakeholders. A target-driven and commercially aware approach. The ability to identify sales opportunities and turn insight into action. Strong planning, organisational and time-management skills. Good attention to detail and a focus on high standards of execution. Experience using reporting systems, mobile apps, Microsoft Office tools or performance dashboards. A full clean driving licence.
