Description

SUMMARY

Ribbon is looking for a Sales Manager to manage complex sales processes for the entire portfolio to increase company sales to new and existing customers and partners in all relevant segments (Service Providers, large Enterprises), with a strong focus on new business development in IP networks. The role is based in Germany, preferably in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main area, but travel to other countries in scope will be required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in Telecommunications Industry, provable success in selling to SP and/or enterprises in the region
  • Ability to articulate value propositions and perform benefits-selling up to C-level decision makers
  • Existing relationship with customers and partners in the named market segments
  • Good understanding of the Telecommunications market and products:
  • Extensive knowledge in requirements of IP networks
  • Understanding in layers 2, 1, 0 is an advantage
  • Ability to create accurate sales forecasts and budgets

  • Fluent English & German – must

Education

  • Either commercial career path (study or education in business management) orDegree in Engineering or Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities
  • Overall goal: penetrate and develop new business in the region
  • Develop strategy around sweet spots
  • Build effective relationships with existing and prospective accounts and sell at all levels within customer organization
  • Prepare proposals to meet client needs and requirements including all technical details with the support of Sales Engineers and other teams inside the organisation
  • Conduct commercial negotiations with clients up to contract signing, whilst maintaining deal profitability
  • Lead process from identifying opportunity to qualified lead and execution, working and supporting CRM tools
