Technical Network have been retained by an international machinery manufacturer who are seeking a Business Development Manager to expand their client base across the UK. REQUIREMENTS:

The role requires an individual with both a driven personality and willingness to understand the technicalities of metal material joining products and capital machinery. You will already have a proven track record selling high value, technology led products or services in advanced manufacturing sector.
o Demonstrate successful sales career winning new business and growing existing clients accounts within the field of industrial machinery or sub contract manufacturing
o Experience in managing projects or technical innovation with solid phase joining production processes
o Commercial ability relating to project costs and contracts, margins and sales pricing
o Qualifications to HNC/Degree level in an engineering or scientific discpline
o Positive attitude and drive to take ownership of territory and grow market

Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is drive sales & revenue growth for companies precision machinery working with existing client accounts and proactively identify and develop new customers.
o Proactively identify end user manufacturing customers and promote various value streams including innovative material joining technology solutions, new machines (CapEx) and sub contract manufacturing services.
o Maintain client relationships through meeting, trade shows/ exhibitions, R&D initiatives across a broad range of targeted industrial sectors including automotive, EV, marine, aerospace, defence, space, nuclear, energy or similar technological led manufacturing customers. Additional markets exist within educational, research and industry catapult sectors.
o Translate customer technical requirements into engineering solutions
o Generate quotations and technical proposals that meet client requirements
o Meet and exceed sales and revenue targets with the support of internal sales team and technical product specialists.
