POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Sales Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll turn inquiries into lasting partnerships by connecting with prospects, providing engaging venue tours, presenting tailored package options, and following up to secure bookings. You’ll also collaborate with our operations team to ensure a seamless transition from sale to event day, while supporting the administrative and training needs of the sales department.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of sales experience, preferably in hospitality
  • Strong sales planning, prospecting, and closing skills
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and handle objections effectively
  • Professional, polished communication style (in person, on phone, and in writing)
  • Persistent, empathetic, and client-focused approach
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs
  • Comfort working in varying temperatures and standing/moving for extended periods (up to 12 hours)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and navigate busy event spaces quickly
  • Leadership, planning, and change management skills

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Relevant hospitality, management, or business coursework a plus
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain sales pipelines for both social and corporate events
  • Conduct in-person and virtual venue tours for individuals and groups
  • Convert a minimum of 50% of first visits into confirmed bookings
  • Manage leads from phone, email, in-person inquiries, and referrals, following established protocols
  • Lead menu visits with a focus on suggestive selling
  • Host final planning meetings, confirm final guest counts, and communicate details to the operations, kitchen, and management teams
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Sales Coordinators and Assistants
  • Ensure all event details are accurately documented and accessible for team members
  • Participate in booking and delivering special holiday events (Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, New Year’s Eve, etc.)
  • Maintain expert knowledge of all packages, spaces, policies, and amenities
  • Cross-promote other Bonura Hospitality Group properties when appropriate
  • Contribute to social media and marketing efforts by creating sales collateral
  • Ensure exceptional client satisfaction and resolve concerns promptly
  • Greet visitors, manage appointment schedules, and answer sales inquiries
  • Keep CRM and sales inbox up-to-date, assigning leads as needed
  • Prepare wedding packets, promotional materials, and final visit documents
  • Attend and contribute to regular sales meetings
  • Complete administrative paperwork on daily, weekly, and monthly cycles
  • Support the training of Sales Assistants on processes and procedures
