SALES AND MARKETING EXECUTIVE - ATLANTA GA
Osborne Recruitment is delighted to partner with IDA Ireland’s North American team for a sales and marketing professional to join the Atlanta office. This individual will be responsible for leading the financial services portfolio across 11 U.S. states in the Midwest and Southern regions. In this role, the selected candidate will play a key part in driving Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into Ireland by identifying and securing new business opportunities from both prospective and existing clients in the U.S. market.
Ireland is recognized as a global center for financial services, with over 430 international and domestic firms active in sectors such as banking, asset management, insurance, payments, and fund administration. These companies employ more than 44,000 people and make a significant contribution to the Irish economy. The Sales and Marketing Executive will collaborate closely with senior executives at leading global firms to position Ireland as a strategic location for their European operations.
As part of IDA Ireland’s U.S. Sales & Marketing team, there will be a unique opportunity to collaborate with the Midwest & South Territory Director and the Global Financial Services team to deliver on territory and global targets. Responsibilities will include generating high-quality client engagements, organizing site visits to Ireland, supporting senior-level marketing events, and coordinating business development activities across the region.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- To win employment in the financial services investments as well as transformation (e.g. R&D, Training) and sustainability investments for Ireland and its regions.
- To identify investment opportunities from new & existing clients with potential to invest in Ireland.
- To build a strong pipeline of investments from the territory - converting them to investment approvals while working in close collaboration with the global and regional teams in line with IFS Divisional strategy and targets.
- To engage with and influence C-level Executives, to identify and win job creating investments for Ireland. To concentrate these engagements/meetings on selling client centred solutions, emphasising a fit between the client’s needs and Ireland’s offering. To prioritize and actively market regional development locations for all investments.
- To develop a network of key clients, decision makers, and influencers in companies and the wider stakeholder community across the territory.
- To actively manage a portfolio of target companies in the territory, in conjunction with the global team, and to use CRM and other available tools as a core part of the knowledge management process.
- To demonstrate knowledge of and to fluently articulate Ireland’s value proposition for the International Financial Services sector to US based clients.
- In conjunction with the global financial services team, actively engage with and contribute to the Client Development Process (CDP) by creating new, or developing existing business opportunities, for the purpose of securing, transforming, and developing client(s) mandates in Ireland.
- To contribute to the organization and execution of Irish Government/Ministerial visits and other marketing programs as appropriate.
Further activities will include:
- To actively develop and manage high value industry networking opportunities across the territory in order to secure investments.
- To raise the profile of Ireland across the territory and support the development of Ireland’s brand reputation as a location where companies can scale internationally.
- To capture and share relevant marketplace sectoral intelligence with the global IFS and US teams and ensure the continuous strengthening of the regional / territorial and sectoral strategy of winning new investment opportunities for Ireland.
- To operate as part of a cohesive team in the IFS Division, the office, the territory and across the US Market as well as the Global Sectoral Team.

Qualifications and Competencies:
- Track record of success in FDI related business development and client management.
- Experience, or a demonstrated understanding of the sales process and how it relates to IDA’s business.
- Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to fluently deliver complex presentations and 1-2-1 high level client engagement.
- Personality and capability to build relationships at Senior Executive level within US companies.
- Ability to work well under pressure, flexibly and independently on own initiative.
- 3rd level business/sector related qualification, to a minimum of Level 8 on the National Qualification Framework.
- Full driving license is essential.
- Familiarity of using social media/digital marketing as a sales enabler is also desirable.
- This role will require business travel and work outside of normal business hours.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary package details will be discussed at offer stage. Contracts will be for a period of 3 years. Depending on the experience of the successful candidate and in advance of commencing the new role, tailored induction and development programs will be put in place to support the successful candidate.
