Description Position Summary The Sales & Marketing Intern supports Fort Wayne Football Club’s revenue growth and fan engagement efforts through ticket sales initiatives, promotions, and community outreach. This role assists with game day activations, lead generation, and marketing campaigns designed to expand the club’s fanbase. Interns are expected to contribute to both planning and execution of events while providing administrative support to the sales team. The position operates under direct supervision of the Director of Corporate Partnerships and offers hands-on experience in sports sales and marketing operations. This role is ideal for individuals interested in developing skills in sales, promotions, and fan engagement within a sports environment. Essential Responsibilities Support ticket sales campaigns and outreach efforts to drive attendance and revenue growth. Assist with execution of match day promotions and in-match activations to enhance fan experience. Conduct market research and lead generation activities to identify potential customers and partners. Help coordinate community events and fan engagement initiatives to increase brand awareness. Deliver pocket schedules and promotional materials within the community to support grassroots marketing efforts. Provide administrative support to sales staff, including data entry, tracking leads, and organizing materials. Represent the club professionally during events, outreach efforts, and match days. Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong interest in sales, marketing, and the sports industry. Basic understanding of customer service and sales principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage with fans and promote the club in a positive and energetic manner. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Dependable, proactive, and coachable with a strong work ethic. Experience and Training Must be 16 years of age, or older. High school or undergraduate college students preferred. No prior professional experience required; experience in customer service, sales, or school activities is a plus. Demonstrated interest in sports, marketing, or business-related fields. Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively with a team. Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during matches, events, and outreach activities. Ability to lift and carry light to moderate materials (e.g., promotional items, boxes up to 25 lbs). Frequent interaction with the public in active environments. Work Environment: Combination of outdoor (stadium) and indoor (office) settings. Exposure to varying weather conditions during outdoor events and outreach. Evening and weekend hours required, particularly for games and special events. Job Dimensions Works closely with sales, marketing, and match day operations staff. Regular interaction with fans, community members, and potential customers. Contributes directly to ticket sales efforts, fan engagement, and overall revenue growth.
