Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Merchandise Manager will focus on developing strong customer relationships. Our customer base is broad and include local farmers, primary producers and trade customers and the focus of your role is to provide a memorable experience for all customers either in store or over the telephone whilst:
- Performing branch administrative tasks including accounts payable, stock control and ordering
- Processing counter sales and assisting our broader sales team
- Assisting customers with product enquiries
- Developing product knowledge and endeavoring to have a good understanding of the agricultural industry
- Maintaining safety processes within the branc
To be successful in this role you will have a passion for Australian farming and agriculture and a willingness to meet customer requirements. In addition, you will demonstrate:
- A proactive approach to work and good time management skills
- A strong ability to work well in a fast-changing environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective verbal communications skills to develop positive relationships with customers, colleagues and suppliers
- Problem solving skills and ability to maintain a positive outlook when things don’t go to plan
- Current drivers license
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook & the ability to learn new systems quickl
