Set in the beautiful Cheshire countryside, Wychwood Park is a stylish and modern conference venue and hotel offering an extensive range of light and airy accommodation with 113 guest bedrooms, 25 meeting rooms, 2 Function suites, a 130 cover Hotel restaurant, Hotel Bar with views over the golf course and Cheshire Countryside, Golf clubhouse, and free Wi-fi throughout. For a scenic golfing challenge, golfers will enjoy the PGA European-tour standard 18-hole golf course.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Office Manager to join our highly committed and focused sales and events team.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Previous experience of managing a hotel or venue sales office within the hospitality sector is desirable and will be a distinct advantage.
  • Great organisation skills and the ability to manage a daily sales operation and lead a motivated team are the key drivers.
  • You will be results orientated and target driven and able to demonstrate a proven track record of achievement through self-motivation, energy, drive and enthusiasm.
  • Adapt a balanced approach, in order to maintain high standards balanced with a fun and inclusive environment
Responsibilities
  • To manage all aspects of Conference and Events office on a daily basis.
  • To deliver budgeted M&E | Golf targets by maximising revenue and profit through increased conversion, maximising meeting room/tee sheet occupancy, and rate opportunities.
  • Manage the team to prepare and present proposals, contracts, and pricing packages tailored to the specific needs and preferences of each client
  • Ensure all enquiries are handled promptly, from enquiry to confirmation, following the selling strategy, driving increased revenue and conversion.
  • Ensure the team are consistently delivering a professional service and building strong working relationships with our clients, resulting in repeat business.
  • Management and drive of enquiries, conversion and updates.
  • To manage individual and team performance taking into consideration the key elements of different elements of the business – Conference and Events / Day Delegates / Social Events / Weddings / Golf Breaks and Christmas
  • Understand need dates and set strategies around them
  • To prepare for and participate fully, in business reviews and meetings, with a proactive approach of driving the business.
  • Forge positive working relationships between departments and colleagues across the entire business but specifically with the operations team
  • Understand how and when the meeting space is being sold to support improved diary management, maximum meeting room occupancy and increased revenues.
  • Plan and prioritise the team’s effort to continuously seek and find new events business by being proactive and reactive in managing both the website marketing, social media, and activity from key competitors
  • Encourage the team to drive enquiry conversion and recognise opportunities to upsell to clients.
  • Achieving revenue targets as agreed and set out in the budget working towards generating an overall increase in year-on-year sales.
  • Engage regularly with lapsed clients, past enquiries and repeat bookers to maintain an excellent level of repeat business.
