Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in trucking, freight forwarding, or logistics services.

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, account management, and business development.
  • Experience in handling quotations, tenders, and rate agreements for trucking services.
  • Familiarity with OV-CRM and other MSC platforms is a plus.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

Strong negotiation and persuasion skills to secure new business and maintain customer relationships.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to engage with clients and internal teams effectively.
Analytical mindset to track KPIs, sales performance, and customer account activity.
Ability to manage multiple accounts, ensuring timely responses and service execution.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and sales management tools.
Knowledge of logistics, transportation regulations, and market trends in trucking services.
Ability to work under pressure, meet sales targets, and adapt to market changes.
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities.
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to travel as needed to meet customers and explore business opportunities.
Valid driver’s license (if required for client visits).
Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

To generate the maximum amount of profitable sales through the achievement of sales targets and by making new and existing customers aware of the company’s product range.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Introduce MEDLOG Trucking Services to prospective customers, highlighting efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Create quotations via Sales Link and prepare tenders for trucking services.
Maintain KPIs for quotations and sales logs to track performance and identify growth opportunities.
Manage Key Accounts, ensuring timely responses to customer inquiries and service requests.
Obtain necessary approvals from GVA for trucking-related agreements and contracts.
Create and manage rate agreements for trucking services.
Collaborate with the Export Documentation and Medlog teams to ensure smooth and timely execution of trucking operations.
Prepare Statement of Account (SOA) and bill back all incurred trucking charges based on the agreed tariff.
Generate new sales opportunities and maximize profitability in line with annual trucking sales targets.
Monitor customer accounts within the designated sales area to fully exploit sales potential.
Establish and maintain effective communication with other company departments to optimize trucking service sales.
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and prepare forecasts for strategic planning.
Stay updated on company trucking services and industry sales techniques to enhance effectiveness in the role.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to retain business and ensure customer satisfaction.
Expand the customer base by securing new business in full truckload (FTL), less-than-truckload (LTL), and project cargo trucking.
Educate customers on trucking rates, procedures, and regulations to enhance service transparency.
Review accounts to identify issues, recommend operational improvements, and adjust pricing, schedules, or handling requirements as needed.
Follow up with customers to explore new business opportunities and resolve trucking-related challenges.
Achieve annual KPI and sales objectives, ensuring all measurable targets are met.
Utilize OV-CRM and other MSC digital platforms to enhance customer engagement and service tracking.
Promote MEDLOG digital trucking solutions, including eBL, and other innovative services.
Drive cross-selling activities, ensuring that sales targets and KPIs are consistently met.
Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct manager to support trucking sales growth.
