The Training Specialist provides broad-based internal business consulting specialized in integrating people issues with business strategy. The incumbent in this role is responsible for enhancing our organization’s performance, productivity, and profitability through its people. His/her focus areas include learning and development, talent performance management, culture and strategic change, and employee engagement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Good business acumen and acuity
- Keen knowledge and understanding of standard Training Specialist functions, practices, processes, and procedures
- Familiarity with competency-based learning
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) preferred
- Advanced mastery of using in-person and remote delivery training tools such as PowerPoint, Prezi, GoToMeeting, LiveMeeting, Adobe Connect, RingCentral, WebEx, SharePoint, and/or other similar learning development and delivery tools
- Superior research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated capabilities in teamwork, leadership, and judgment
- Self-motivated and metrics-oriented
- Strong commitment to developing and coaching others
- Excellent written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills
- Production of high-quality deliverables quickly and without errors (punctuation, content, formatting, spelling, etc.)
- Ability to rapidly master new systems and tools and effectively teach others
- Ability to pose effective questioning and facilitation techniques to influence learners with self-awareness, self-discovery, and learning
- Strong learning agility and flexibility
- Ability to apply prior knowledge and insights in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills:
- PowerPoint – graphics, animation, master slide formatting, notes development, and basic storyboarding.
- Word – reference and table creation, master formatting, and document structuring.
- Excel – tracking, sorting, filtering, conditional formatting
- Proficient in a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail, and presentation software
- Ability and willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationwide up to 40% of the time
- Spoken and written fluency in English
- This job requires use and exercise of independent judgment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:
- Associate Degree in related field required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Three (3) + years Salesforce experience, including advanced reporting and basic administration.
- Previous experience in Healthcare vertical highly preferred.
- Previous knowledge of Healthcare applications a plus.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), with Advanced proficiency in Excel and Access.
