Sales Operations and Strategy & Marketing. The job is consisting of: 1. Sales Operations To manage the sales operation activities for Japan as support of the Country Director and in coordination with Account Management Team of Japan and Sales Operations Team for Asia Region. Sales operation activities include the preparation of Monthly Order Intake Review (MOIR), Quarterly Account Management report as well as organising monthly business reviews with for the different domains of activity (Civil, Defense and Digital) In addition, the role will include the preparation of Business Review with Business Lines or Global Business Units when needed 2. Strategy and Marketing Under the leadership of the country director and in cooperation with the account managers, manage the construction the multi-year Country Strategic Plan (CSP) to support growth and reinforce Thales presence in Japan, based on the analysis of Thales markets, customer’s strategic orientations, operational environments, needs and priorities, competition and local partner’s ecosystem In coordination with the GBU/BLs and the Regional HQ in Asia, provide with relevant market information to enhance Thales offerings and in line with Thales global strategy In support of the local account managers and sales force, provide business market intelligence and relevant data to help them entertain strategic level discussions with their accounts, gaining insight on potential challenges The position will enable the candidate to gain in-depth knowledge of the frontline business elements of the Thales Group and, if able, will be part in successes of the coming years for the country, creating a good foundation for a future role in sales, marketing and strategy RESPONSIBILITIES Role Description 1) Provide monthly and quarterly reports (in coordination with Regional HQ in Asia) 2) Gather and present an analysis of consolidated data on the country's economic environment, the various players, competitors or partners and our positioning in the country (Country strategic Plan) 3) Prepare Business Review when needed with Business Lines or Global Business Units, in addition to the 5-year Order Intake forecast reviews conducted twice a year. 4) Work closely with Account Managers (sales development, building loyalty and optimizing the database opportunities and pipeline development) 5) Gather market intelligence (analysis of parameters) to provide an overview of the market and the Group's positioning 6) Economic intelligence: daily study of the current situation in the country covering various sectors related to the Group's activities 7) Assist in the organization and management of trade shows and events of the country involving external communication 8) CRM system administration: data entry and accuracy improvement, and its use for analytics, forecasting and reporting 9) Work closely with the Finance department and other relevant departments as required to support Thales Japan's business forecasting and actual results management. Person Profile • The candidate should enjoy problem solving and dealing in a complex and long lead business environment. • Eligible candidates should have a structured and analytical mindset with attention to detail. • The ability to operate in an international environment dealing with multiple project teams is essential to understand Asian and European culture difference. • Above all the candidates should be versatile, proactive, enthusiastic and able to attune to the changing needs of the business. • The position requires a lot of independence and autonomy • The candidate should have ability to prepare impactful and structured presentations to internal and external stakeholders (with extended skills in Office and Presentations tools) • Good communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive are required Requirements/Qualifications Eligible candidates should possess a Business degree with focus on the following: 1) International Marketing and Sales 2) Understanding of International Politics 3) Japanese and English are mandatory - fluent in speaking and writing (due to the nature of business and organization). 4) Microsoft Pack office ( Excel, Power Point, word) 5) Knowledge of Defence, Aerospace and/or Digital Technologies is an advantage 6) Experience in international environment is appreciated At Thales, we’re committed to fostering a workplace where respect, trust, collaboration, and passion drive everything we do.
