JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate for a unique opportunity at a local garden centre. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for customer service and a strong desire to assist customers in finding the right products to meet their needs. This job is a lone working position based in one of our luxury garden rooms on site, salary is negotiable based upon experience and commission will be given based on sales after 6 months of employment. Working days/hours are also negotiable but will require weekend work.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
  • Basic numeracy skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Ability to work weekends is required (may be alternate weekends depending on candidates as the site is open 7 days a week)

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: £22,880.00-£30,880.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs to provide tailored assistance.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of products and services to effectively advise customers.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale.
  • Handle customer inquiries (complaints etc will be handles by management)
  • Collaborate with team members at second sale site to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Ensure the office and garden rooms are clean, organised, and welcoming for all customers.
