Market Trader - Peterborough & Cambridge (2 Positions Available)
Location: Peterborough Bridge Street & Cambridge Market
Schedule: Weekend work (flexible between locations)
Start Date: Immediate start for training
Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (9 hours per day)
Salary: National Minimum Wage
About Us:
Beauty Scents Candles is a growing handmade candle business specializing in premium soy candles and wax melts. We’re seeking two enthusiastic Market Traders to join our team, working across our market locations in Peterborough and Cambridge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting up and dismantling market stalls
• Engaging with customers and providing product expertise
• Showcasing our range of handmade scented candles
• Processing cash and card payments via mobile app
• Recording sales and managing daily transactions
• Maintaining attractive stall presentation
• Flexible to work at either Peterborough or Cambridge markets as needed

Essential Requirements:

• Excellent English communication skills
• Strong customer service orientation
• Reliability and punctuality
• Ability to work independently
• Physical capability for stall setup/teardown
• Basic smartphone/tablet proficiency
• Flexibility to work at both locations
• Available for weekend work
• Immediate availability for training

Nice to Have (Not Essential):

• Full driving licence and/or own vehicle
• Experience driving vans
• Previous market trading experience

Note: Transport arrangements are in place for both locations - having your own transport is not required for this role.
