Location: Remote – Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa Contract Term: June through September (with potential extension based on performance and business needs) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Sales Phone Agent with strong phone-based sales experience and excellent written and spoken English. This is a remote contract role with a call center environment, requiring reliability, strong work ethic, and a distraction-free workspace. This is a fixed-term contract position. Contract extensions may be considered based on performance and business needs. Structured sales training and ongoing coaching will be provided throughout the ramp-up period. What You’ll Do: Manage inbound and outbound warm calls (approx. 200+ weekly). Handle calls lasting 6–15 minutes to close new customers, explain LawnStarter’s services, and upsell recurring plans. Meet and exceed sales metrics and quality standards. Demonstrate exceptional communication skills with U.S. customers. Maintain accurate CRM records and uphold data protection policies. What We’re Looking For: Proven ability to close sales and overcome objections Strong customer service and empathy skills Goal-oriented with strong adaptability Coachable and receptive to feedback Consistent achievement of performance targets Qualifications: High school graduate; college preferred Excellent written and spoken English At least 2 years of telesales or BPO experience Familiarity with CRM/VoIP tools (Google Suite preferred) Desktop/laptop with camera (Core i5, 8GB RAM minimum), dual monitors, noise-canceling headset Stable Ethernet connection (50mbps for download and 25mbps for upload) Backup internet connection with the same speed requirement (e.g. mobile data or secondary ISP) Backup power source (e.g. UPS or generator) in case of power interruptions Noise-canceling headset or headphones with a microphone A quiet, dedicated workspace free from distractions R99/hour Base + Up to R66/hour Incentives (South African Rand/ZAR) Work from the comfort of your own home
