SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a similar manufacturing background essential
  • Working knowledge of costing/estimating desirable
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD desirable
  • Prince2 Qualification (or other Project Management qualification) desirable
Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE

To efficiently manage projects to achieve long-term success and repetitive business by developing positive relationships and carefully handling customers’ needs in line with Company processes and procedures.
To be responsible for your own project management and quoting.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processing enquiries from clients (dependant on project allocation), including setting up client/enquiry files, chasing for required details, and maintaining the company CRM.
  • Respond to client requirements to enable the speedy processing of the enquiry through to completion.
  • Fleshing out the spec of received enquiries, advising on missing information and suggesting solutions for the project, with support from the Head of Sales & the relevant Sales Manager where required, confirming with the client how we will approach the project & costings.
  • Produce CAD layout / Sales drawings when required, to work towards solutions for clients’ needs, and demonstrate what we will be pricing for.
  • To efficiently utilise your time to produce speedy and accurate quotations.
  • Ensure consistency and high levels of quality are maintained by yourself.
  • Product & supplier sourcing; including acquiring critical material pricing and placing reserves, checking stocks & lead times and sample requesting.
  • Follow up with clients on previously quoted works and ongoing projects, in timely manner
  • Provide project and client feedback to the Head of Sales & the relevant Sales Manager
  • Maintain & update relevant client enquiry status through the CRM
  • Send timely Order Confirmation Emails as well as client timelines to clients (if required in place of the Head of Sales)
  • Effective project management to ensure the product is produced to client requirements
  • Oversee the drawing stage of the project to ensure everything is in line with costing methods and client requirements.
  • Work closely with other areas of the business from enquiry to manufacture stage.
  • To support the Head of Sales & the relevant Sales Manager to manage, develop and protect existing key accounts, maintaining relationships whilst managing key accounts and projects in line with Company processes and procedures
  • Providing support to the Head of Sales for larger projects & tenders. Including assisting with quoting requirements and assisting putting together tender information packs, due diligence etc.
