JOB SUMMARY
Dedicated Floor Systems is seeking a sales/project manager to run their Orange/LA County division. Dedicated Floors specialize in pouring lightweight and self-leveling concrete with primary markets in commercial and high-end custom homes. Dedicated has an established name within our industry and continues to grow. The new candidate is expected to maintain existing relationships while continuing to build new relationships. We seek to find an individual with a working an understanding of these markets and industry.
Successful candidates must have a working knowledge of Project Management and Sales, reading construction plans, drafting sales proposals and managing project sites. The successful candidate will make sales calls, write proposals, provide budget control and oversight for projects.
The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of construction methods, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, have a strong attention to detail, possess good communication skills, and be efficient and responsive to the needs of internal and external clients alike.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree or Related Work Experience in Construction Management.
· Ability to read Specification Booklets, plans, and project specific reports efficiently.
· Understanding of Labor Yields and how they are determined.
· Understanding of fractions, percentages, & ratios to calculate area and volume.
· Ability to handle stressful environments, while still maintaining the ability to focus on “one job at a time”
· Strong oral and digital communication skills.
· Ability to work in an office and in the field in a fast-paced environment with variable working hours.
· Maintain professional & ethical working relationships with material suppliers and our customers.
· Experience with and/or the ability to learn software systems including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite (ex. Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) ProCore, Adobe, Plan Swift
· “Can do” attitude and an open mind.
· The ability to adapt and continue learning new things all the time. The concrete industry is always evolving.
· Proven ability to maintain profitability is a plus.
· Organizing client solicitations and documents pertaining to specific project.
· Coordinate pre-bid job walks.
· Risk analysis per project.
· Assemble detail-oriented material and quantity takeoffs to determine and define the precise Scope of Work to be tied to the estimate.
· Solicitation, coordination and qualification of any necessary clients.
· Be able to present information effectively and provide answers to questions about the project.
· Assemble scope of work package for utilization by field staff.
· Review Contracts to ensure accuracy prior to executive execution.
· Complete budgeting and scheduling for projects and track same.
· Monitor progress and identify any potential risks.
· Ensure site personnel and clients are provided with proper documentation related to project.
· Oversee all assigned projects through completion.
