ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual to join us as a Agricultural Salesperson at our branch in Mackay Ag. Located in Northern Queensland on Australia’s East Coast you’ll find a range of scenic environments such as rainforests or a section of the Great Barrier Reef, you can enjoy the beauty of Queensland while building a rewarding career with an established and successful business. You will sell a range of mowers and agricultural attachments, meet sales targets and build strong relationships with current and new customers. We offer comprehensive training and support to help you excel in meeting sales targets and fostering long-term customer relationships.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Achieving sales targets
  • Expanding customer base and strengthen existing customer loyalty
  • Canvassing assigned areas on a regular basis, as determined by your manager
  • Cold calling and providing quotes to customers
  • Refer all equipment finance opportunities to the finance department
  • Ensuring all equipment sale paperwork is completed correctly and that the machinery is delivered on time, as per customer order and clean
  • Ensuring customer needs are met by correctly identifying the make, model and variation of the item of machinery they require
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of our products and use that knowledge to encourage customers to make more purchases
  • Representing the company at trade fairs, shows, field days, customer nights

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven track record selling agricultural and/or construction machinery
  • You should be passionate about the truck industry
  • Sales driven, customer-focused, an excellent communicator, negotiator and a problem-solver
  • You will need strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • A car licence is a must
  • New Holland, Case IH, John Deere and/or Kubota experience (desirable)
