Sales Representative
Location: 326 Clarence St, Brampton, ON
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time
Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager
Start Date: Immediately
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Compensation: $60,000 + Auto Allowance + Commission

SUMMARY:

The Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business in Brampton/Mississauga/Etobicoke areas, managing client relationships, and promoting our waste disposal, recycling, and sustainability services. The role involves identifying client needs, delivering tailored solutions, and meeting sales targets while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 5 years previous experience in a sales/business development role, preferably in an industrial setting, is a requirement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a highly interactive and engaging team.
  • Strong prospecting skills, including lead identification, research, and targeted outreach.
  • Resilience and persistence in handling rejection and maintaining consistent follow-up.
  • Understanding of the sales funnel, including lead generation, qualification, and closing techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and other sales tools to effectively manage leads and sales activity.
  • Must be able to self-manage time and resources to achieve goals.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for business use is a requirement.
  • Flexibility is required at times to meet customer needs or to deliver on special projects.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, quantify and categorize lead opportunities on potential new clients via telemarketing, referrals, cold calling, etc., to obtain maximum sales and volume from all commercial sectors in the assigned territory.
  • Set up appointments and make sales presentations.
  • Prepare specified or standard proposals tailored to individual prospects.
  • Keep informed on competitive services, promotional matters, sales techniques, pricing and use marketing policies.
  • Utilize resources and perform research to determine sales patterns and strategies. (e.g. CRM program).
  • Support and educate customers on MWSI services, programs, industry trends.
  • Increase win-loss ratios utilizing sales strategies and effective time management.
  • Work with local Miller Waste Systems teams to achieve growth results.
