POSITION SUMMARY:

A progressive and dynamic Sales Representative for the city of Regina and parts of Southern Saskatchewan to maintain and grow an established territory. This individual would call on existing foodservice and healthcare accounts as well actively develop new accounts to further grow the territory. This position requires some out-of-town travel with the occasional overnight stay when required. The ideal candidate understands the importance of customer service, is self-motivated and organized. Restaurant or kitchen experience would be considered an asset but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 1 to 2 years progressive sales experience in a similar sized operation; a combination of post-secondary education and experience will also be considered.
  • 1 to 3 years of related industry experience required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, colleagues, and staff.
  • Ability to work comfortably on computers.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in, and outside of an office setting.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities
  • Selling to existing customer base, working with call sheets.
  • Weekly collection of account balances from customers (distributing statements, credits, and ensuring all invoices are paid according to terms).
  • Grow existing customer base using correct company protocol on new account sign ups.
  • Attend regular sales meetings either virtually or in person and yearly March conference.
  • Responsible for increasing sales and margin in existing customer base.
  • Working on adding new product lines.
  • Working with customers to setup weekly advertisements to continue to grow business.
  • Selling protein specialties and Made at Centennial items.
  • Understanding market conditions, product innovations and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
