Position Overview Tailored Security is seeking a driven Sales Representative to generate new business and expand relationships with commercial clients in the Chicagoland and Nashville markets. This is a hunter role with strong upside, focused on identifying opportunities, building relationships, and selling customized security solutions. The ideal candidate is comfortable selling into businesses, understands the value of consultative selling, and is motivated by performance-based earnings. Key Responsibilities Business Development Prospect and develop new business opportunities within the commercial market Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities through outbound efforts, networking, and referrals Target industries such as commercial real estate, property management, construction, industrial, and multi-site businesses Consultative Sales Process Meet with clients to assess security needs and recommend tailored solutions Collaborate with internal teams to develop system designs and proposals Present and sell solutions including: Video Surveillance (CCTV) Access Control Systems Intrusion (Burglar Alarm) Systems Fire Alarm Systems Relationship Management Build long-term relationships with clients, contractors, and referral partners Serve as a trusted advisor on security technology and system improvements Ensure a smooth handoff to operations while maintaining client engagement Pipeline & Performance Management Maintain accurate pipeline activity and forecasting Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies What Makes This Opportunity Unique Sell custom, high-value solutions rather than commoditized products Strong support from technical and operations teams for solution design and delivery Exposure to modern, cloud-based security technologies Opportunity to grow with a company expanding into new markets Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary + uncapped commission structure High earning potential based on performance Paid Time Off Ongoing training and product education Job Type: Full-time Locations: Chicago, IL Requirements Qualifications 2+ years of sales experience (B2B preferred; security, construction, or low-voltage strongly preferred) Proven ability to generate new business and close deals Strong communication and relationship-building skills Experience with solution-based or consultative sales Self-motivated with a high level of accountability and drive Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams Familiarity with CRM systems and pipeline management Preferred Experience Experience selling security systems, low-voltage solutions, or related technologies Existing relationships in commercial or construction-related industries Understanding of cloud-based security platforms (e.g., Verkada, Avigilon, Axis, etc.)
