OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Sales Representative with experience developing new commercial business in the EV Charging solutions sector. This role is with our client, a progressive & fast growing organization based in Richmond Hill. In this capacity you will be responsible for driving B2B sales of commercial EV charging solutions, building and maintaining client relationships, navigating complex procurement processes, and achieving sales targets. This role focuses on utility companies, energy providers, and large-scale commercial clients, and requires collaboration with engineering, project management, and marketing teams. This a full time permanent role and In Office role.
The hours are : 9:00am - 5:00pm Mon-Fri. Salary 75K - 80K, full benefits, free on-site parking.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven track record of success in commercial sales, with at least 3 years of specific experience selling Electric Vehicle (EV) chargers to businesses in Canada.
  • Solution Sales: Proven ability to identify customer needs and sell a comprehensive solution (hardware, software, services), not just a product.
  • Complex Sales Management: Expertise in navigating long sales cycles, managing multiple stakeholders, and responding to complex RFPs/RFQs.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Strong track record of successfully negotiating contracts and closing high-value deals.
  • Industry and Market Knowledge and EV Industry Acumen: In-depth knowledge of commercial EV charging technology, including hardware, software platforms, and market trends.
  • Utility & Energy Sector Expertise: Understanding of utility company structures, procurement processes, demand response, and electrification trends.
  • Canadian Market Specifics: Familiarity with the Canadian market, including key industry players, regional differences, and government incentive programs.
  • Professional Attributes: Bilingual Proficiency: Native-level English and fluent French for effective communication in both languages is an asset
  • Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently, manage a pipeline, and drive results without constant supervision.
  • Collaboration:
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams (engineering, project management, marketing) to deliver tailored solutions.
  • A higher level of experience and a proven track record of success will be considered for a Senior Sales Representative role.
  • Proven success in selling complex solutions with long sales cycles.
  • Existing relationships with utility companies is a strong asset.
  • Strong understanding of utility procurement processes, demand response programs, and electrification trends.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
