Job Overview:
The Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling Versus Socks products to retail outlets, distributors, own retail and individual customers in Gauteng. This role includes managing regional brand activations and coordinating weekend promotional events. The candidate will work closely with the Western Cape HQ team to align campaigns and promotional efforts with regional market demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively promote and sell Versus Socks to retailers, distributors, and consumers.
  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs set by the company.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients through regular visits, follow-ups, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand Versus Socks’ market share in the region.
  • Represent Versus Socks at trade shows, promotional events, and expos (weekends included).
  • Fully responsible for merchandising key retailers in Gauteng and outlying areas to ensure optimal product display and brand representation.
  • Oversee operations and daily requirements at the new Versus Socks Shop in Pretoria
  • Event Management & Weekend Work:
  • Coordinate and participate in occasional weekend brand activations.
  • Oversee event stand setup, operation, and takedown, ensuring top-notch brand representation.
  • Engage with customers and potential clients at events, promoting Versus Socks and driving sales.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Western Cape HQ team to develop promotional materials and campaigns tailored to the regional market.
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations and samples to prospective clients.
  • Provide feedback on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to the sales manager.
  • Ensure accurate reporting on sales activities and customer feedback.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Versus Socks product range and its competitive advantages.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams for promotional activities and campaigns.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in sales, preferably in the retail or sports apparel industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Experience in event management or brand activations is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to work weekends and attend promotional events.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
