A DAY IN THE LIFE

We are looking for a customer-oriented Field Sales Representative for our Surgical Innovations Business in the South of the Netherlands. In this role, you will present and sell General Surgical Technologies products, including sutures, laparoscopic instruments, hemostatic products, and trocars, to hospitals and healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing tenders, and identifying new business opportunities. Strong relationship management skills, fluency in Dutch and English, and the ability to understand complex medical and scientific information are essential.
This is a challenging but rewarding position where you will define and execute your own sales strategies to drive product adoption and maximize brand presence. You will engage with key decision-makers, deliver client solutions, and ensure outstanding service. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and commercial experience, eager to grow in a dynamic and impactful field.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Demonstrated track record of sales (min 1 years’ experience)
  • High motivation, enthusiastic attitude, being comfortable with change and growth
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, persuasive communication and negotiation skills
  • Fluency in Dutch and a very good level of English
  • Product launch, territory planning and forecasting experience is a plus
  • Experience in medical devices/ medtech or healthcare

Responsibilities
  • Achieving agreed targets focused on sales growth
  • Presenting, providing in-service and selling Surgical Innovation products and services to current and potential clients
  • Supporting and advising the physician on the correct use of Medtronic devices
  • Preparing presentations, proposals and sales contracts
  • Leading with clinical selling activities within the territory
  • Identifying sales prospects and contacting these and other accounts as assigned
  • Preparing action plans and scheduling to identify specific targets and to project the contacts to be made
  • Following up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
  • Interacting with purchasing managers/hospital administrators to set up and negotiate broader sales contracts
  • Maintaining customer knowledge by gathering information about account activities and potential, key decision-makers, competitive participation, market share etc.
