GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Sales Representative II is responsible for developing profitable projects and is accountable for select client management for Wells. This includes prospecting, relationship building, organizational involvement, trade show participation, presenting to key clients on precast solutions, and assisting with estimating and project coordination.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture and/or Construction Management preferred, or 3 – 5 years Precast sales experience.
  • Proficiency in multiple building types (e.g., precast, multi-level, parking ramps).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to present ideas effectively and work collaboratively.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Knowledge of precast building processes for effective bid development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and track upcoming projects, generating leads through contacts while developing and maintaining a robust database for opportunity and project pursuits to streamline communication.
  • Engage architects, contractors, and engineers early in the design phase to provide a competitive edge and identify market opportunities for estimating and bidding, aiming for an annual sales goal of $10 million in revenue the first year.
  • Collaborate closely with the Estimating team to assist in budget development for cost studies, preparing estimates and proposals with relevant drawings and sketches, and coordinating scheduling, solutions, and production-related matters

Introduce new projects to estimating and engineering teams, assisting with initial layouts and fostering steady relationships with owners, general contractors, architects, and engineers throughout project stages.

  • Prepare quality reports and logs to oversee bidding projects while submitting required reports to the VP of Sales and the Regional Sales Manager. Maintain client information organized through relevant tools, eventually utilizing a CRM for effective decision-making.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure thorough completion of processes, aligning with plans while cultivating relationships with key clients to secure sustainable revenue streams through a consultative approach.
  • Attend industry meetings and events to expand the contact base for new products and customer relations while performing regular in-person visits or meetings with assigned clients.
  • Develop solutions and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed, facilitating the introduction of samples and mockups to clients and job sites, while also assisting internal departments in the flow of information concerning projects.
  • Review contracts, oversee product design concepts, and ensure profitability while upholding Wells’ brand through effective material use and collaborating with marketing on key messaging throughout the sales cycle.
  • Act as the liaison between clients and Wells, ensuring project needs are met and client satisfaction is prioritized. Coordinate project information with marketing for case studies and take a leading role in marketing precast products at trade shows and through presentations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Complete special projects as assigned and perform other related tasks as necessary for individual projects, collaborating with Marketing/Business Development personnel to maximize time and resource efficiency while prioritizing client needs.
