Description
Sales Representative Position Specifics Department:     Sales Reports to:       Sales Manager / Store Manager Purpose Sell new and used Production Agricultural equipment, Precision Ag Products, Compact Construction, Lawn and Garden, outdoor power equipment, and other vendors’ products carried by the dealership.  Responsibilities * Represents KCN with integrity and professionalism for all equipment sales to customers in assigned area  * Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment sold at the dealership  * Monitors competitive activity/products and communicates to management, accordingly * Maintains up-to-date customer information in assigned territory for sales management * Build and grow new long-term relationships with growers and potential customers within assigned area * Knows and follows KCN's defined sales process * Able to analyze, problem solve, remain constantly alert * Maintains assigned company vehicles and equipment * Able to respond to sudden changes while operating vehicles and equipment on or off company property.   * Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events * Conducts new equipment field demonstrations  * Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and communicates to management * Maintains current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes * Maintains current knowledge of financing tools to help customers purchase new and used equipment * Attends applicable sales training events/seminars as required by KCN and John Deere University * Other jobs assigned by management  Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge: * 1-2 years equipment sales experience * Knowledge of agricultural industry, farming, or operational practices preferred  * Ability to use standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions * Ability to work flexible hours * Excellent communication and customer relationship skills * Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports * Physical Demands include lifting up to 75 lbs. walking, standing, sitting, and climbing on to and out of vehicles and equipment.  * High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
Responsibilities
The primary purpose is to sell new and used agricultural equipment, Precision Ag Products, construction equipment, and other dealership products to customers in an assigned territory. Responsibilities include maintaining product knowledge, monitoring competitive activity, building customer relationships, and executing the defined sales process.
