Description Labconco is hiring for an Outside Sales Representative in the NEW YORK STATE AND GREATER NEW HAVEN area. A successful candidate is someone who understands the competitive landscape of our dealer relationships and identifies market opportunities within the assigned territory. As needed, will serve as the technical resource for dealers, end users and internal associates requiring product selection, function and utilize the internal resources to answer any questions our dealers can not. The ideal candidate would have experience selling through distributors and fostering those types of relationships and have some working knowledge of Labconco products. Approximately 30 to 35% travel is required. For the sake of logistical efficiency within our New York State and Greater New Haven, CT territory, candidates based in Dutchess, Orange, Rockland, or Westchester County are strongly preferred. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain and grow sales in territory. Respond to customer/distributor partner inquiries promptly. Provide technical support / training on current and new products to customers and distributor partners. Seek out Project opportunities. Follow up promptly on leads. Assign to appropriate dealer partner. Travel to all parts of my geography to maintain a face to face relationship with dealer partners. Timely submittal of call and expense reports. Maintain company vehicle. Provide installation on certain products and demonstrate usage. Perform other job duties as assigned by the Management. Associates in exempt positions are expected to work the hours necessary to complete assignments. For full-time exempt associates, the work schedule is 80 hours per bi-weekly payroll period. If the number of hours necessary to complete an assignment exceeds 80 hours within a payroll period, the associate is expected to work a reasonable number of additional hours as part the of the associate's job requirements. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university with one to two years related experience, or 3-5 years solid sales experience with proven success required; 2-3 years in a life science environment preferred.
