ABOUT REEF MARINE

Reef Marine is Central Qld’s largest marine dealer for boat, motor, trailer sales, electronics and chandlery sales, outboard servicing and boat and outboard repairs. We are a small team of 20 employees working closely together in a fast-paced environment. Included in our store is a Sales Team in the Chandlery and Spare Parts, a fully equipped and modern Service Department with the latest test and service equipment and a Sales and Finance Team selling boats, outboard motors and trailers. We are seeking candidates who take pride in their work and enjoy being a part of an enthusiastic team.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Provide our valued customers options to assist in choosing their new or used outboard motor, boat and trailer package.
• Sales experience - Quoting, pricing and packaging of products
• A passion for boating is an advantage - please address this in your application.
• 8am -5pm Monday to Friday and half Saturday’s on rotation with other team members.
• Communicate on the phone and in person to maintain customer relationships.
• Demonstrate a polite, keen and knowledgeable persona to assist people of all ages.
• Boat yard presentation and stock displays including boat trailer assembly when required.
• On-Water testing and demonstrations.
• Assist with unloading boats, trailers and motors as required.
• Ability to assist in retail parts and accessory sales when required.
• Other retail sale or administration duties as may be required.

Successful candidates will

• Hold a current QLD boat licence for the purpose of launching, retrieving and driving small marine craft OR be willing to obtain this licence.
• Have basic computer skills especially using Microsoft Excel.
• Hold Current manual driver’s license.
• Hold a Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
• Previous customer service experience is desirable.
• This is a “hands on” position which can entail assembly and adjustments on boat packages.

What we offer:

• Full training in our sales, products and selling processes.
• Above award hourly pay rate plus commission on sales. Salary listed includes commission however commission is uncapped.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability
