SALES REPRESENTATIVE Location: Remote Classification: Exempt – Full Time ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- THE ROLE RMS is seeking a high-performing, technically strong Sales Representative to drive strategic growth within our industrial services business. This is not a transactional sales role. This position requires the ability to understand complex component repair challenges, engage with engineering and operations teams, and position RMS as a value-added partner. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical knowledge, strong industry relationships, and a proven ability to secure and manage high-value business opportunities. ---------------------------------------- SKILLS REQUIRED ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP & ORGANIZATION * Exceptional ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time and resources effectively * Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines * Strong attention to detail * Demonstrates ownership and accountability for tasks and responsibilities * Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with RMS team members toward sales goals INTERPERSONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED * Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work effectively within a team environment * Strong active listening and responsiveness skills EFFICIENCY & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED * In-depth understanding of rotating equipment, coatings, machining, and RMS capabilities * Ability to initiate and develop client relationships * Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of closing deals * Ability to provide input and insights to assist the marketing team in capturing new fleet opportunities ---------------------------------------- PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES * Drive revenue growth by developing new business within targeted industrial markets * Build and manage long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including engineers, maintenance managers, and procurement teams * Identify opportunities for component repair, coating, grinding, and refurbishment services * Evaluate customer requirements, drawings, and specifications to define scope and recommend solutions * Lead the quoting and negotiation process for complex, high-value jobs * Collaborate closely with operations teams to ensure technical alignment, execution success, and customer satisfaction * Maintain a strong field presence through regular customer visits and industry engagement * Provide market intelligence and contribute to strategic growth initiatives ---------------------------------------- ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities listed above are not intended to be all-inclusive, but rather a general representation of the requirements of the RMS Sales Representative position. Responsibilities may change based on business needs. ---------------------------------------- REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS * Experience supporting critical equipment within oil & gas, power generation, and heavy industrial markets * Experience in industrial service sales and customer support * Proven high-performing sales presence within the assigned region * Demonstrated track record of achieving customer satisfaction and profitable sales growth * Ability to identify business opportunities and effectively communicate them within RMS ---------------------------------------- REQUIRED EDUCATION * Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution OR * Equivalent years of outside sales experience within industrial services, machining, or manufacturing environments ---------------------------------------- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS * Strong technical background in rotating equipment, coatings, machining, or repair services * Proven track record of developing new business and closing complex deals * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications * Established industry relationships within oil & gas, power generation, or related sectors preferred * Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills * Self-directed, accountable, and results-oriented * Position is REMOTE * Full-time position with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week; additional hours, evenings, or weekends may be required based on project demands * Ability to participate in company random or customer-specific drug and alcohol screenings and background checks * Ability to act professionally under stressful situations * Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English * Must be authorized to work in the United States * RMS may maintain government contracts that impose specific requirements on employees assigned to those projects. Employees who do not meet those requirements may be reassigned or deemed ineligible for certain assignments ---------------------------------------- WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this position, the employee may enter shop or field service environments with exposure to moving mechanical parts. Although work areas are generally maintained in a clean and safe condition, machining operations may generate moderate noise levels.
