Shutters Factory is a leading manufacturer and supplier of premium bespoke plantation shutters, proudly serving trade clients across the UK. We specialize in delivering high-quality window shutter solutions to interior designers, contractors, developers, architects, and trade retailers. As we continue to expand our reach, we’re looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative (Trade Division) to join our team in Scotland area.

JOB SUMMARY

This role is strictly Trade focused, with no retail sales component. You’ll be responsible for growing and nurturing our trade accounts, identifying new business opportunities within the industry, and ensuring our trade partners receive exceptional service and support. If you’re a sales professional with a passion for building relationships in the trade space, we want to hear from you.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven B2B sales experience (minimum 2–3 years), ideally within the interior design, construction, or window furnishings sectors.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with trade clients.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule.
  • Competent in using CRM software and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace tools.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for client visits.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Knowledge of shutters, blinds, or bespoke interior fittings.
  • Existing network of trade contacts in the interiors or construction industry.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or supplier environment.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and generate new trade business opportunities through warm outreach, networking, and industry events.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with interior designers, developers, builders, architects, and trade resellers.
  • Manage and grow existing trade accounts by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Conduct in-person or virtual meetings with trade clients to present products, services, and pricing models.
  • Process orders and follow up to ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Collaborate with production and logistics teams to manage client expectations and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and pipeline progression using CRM tools.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activity, and product knowledge to effectively position our offerings.
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events as a company representative when required.
