Description

Steamworks Brewery is currently hiring a Sales Representative for its Vancouver East and Burnaby territory. A strong work ethic, ability to multitask, as well as a love for Steamworks beer is required. This position requires a motivated self-starter who enjoys being on the road, interacting with customers, and promoting Steamworks products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is familiar with Vancouver and Burnaby to learn and grow in the craft beer industry with a growing company. This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package: base salary + bonus. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1-5 years of experience in Sales and/or Customer Service, preferably in the liquor distribution industry
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License and clean driving Abstract
  • Familiarity with Vancouver and surrounding area
  • Post-Secondary education (an asset)

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Onedrive)
  • Driven, self-motivated & task-oriented with strong attention-to-detail
  • Ability to make judgement calls independently
  • Outstanding team player with excellent work ethic
  • Strong sales & negotiation skills
  • Vast knowledge and passion of hospitality and alcohol retail industry
  • Strong logistics, record keeping and time management skills

Responsibilities
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets by increasing Steamworks brands’ sell through and distribution in Vancouver, Burnaby and surrounding areas by promoting sales in retail stores and on premise
  • Pursue new sales and build outstanding relationships with customers by finding creative solutions to their problems
  • Manage individual time and activities
  • Develop expert beer knowledge and understanding of Steamworks product line and stay current with competitive trends in the beer industry
  • Source and participate in a variety of special events
  • Accurately report activities and account information to management on a CRM
  • Develop and maintain targeted sales plans on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis
  • Maintain commitment to Steamworks values and products
  • Participate and contribute in sales meetings
  • Provide exemplary customer service skills and act as a Steamworks ambassador with the community
  • Other duties as assigned by management
