THIS POSITION WILL BE LOCATED IN ONTARIO, CA.

UNACEM North America is seeking a qualified Sales Representative. This position will be responsible for marketing, selling, and providing logistics and technical assistance for cement within the greater Southern California market. The primary focus is to grow the existing and prospective customer base to increase market share and increase profit margins.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or relevant discipline
  • Experience: Professional sales experience dealing with customers at all levels of an organization
  • Skills:
  • Proven ability to work with operational staff to senior executives and business owners.
  • Motivation and ability to travel to customer locations, including possible overnight stays.
  • Strong track record of effective problem resolution and high customer satisfaction results
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Technical knowledge of cement products.
  • Experience with ready-mix concrete or related construction materials
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software

Responsibilities
  • Marketing and selling cement products within the Southern California region.
  • Providing logistics support to our customer base.
  • Reviewing bid documents and specifications and preparing bid packages and quotes.
  • Targeting and acquiring new accounts and maintaining existing accounts by strengthening customer relationships.
  • Achieving sales volumes and maximizing prices based on market conditions and company goals.
  • Monthly review of pricing and volume analytics actual vs. target.
  • Representing Unacem North America at various industry association events.
  • Working with customers and credit department to optimize accounts receivable and to mitigate bad debt risk.
  • Participating in business-line forecasts, budgeting and planning strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of company guidelines, performing training, monitoring compliance.
  • Working with the Cement Plant and associated terminals to develop a good understanding of production and shipping costs and the various manufacturing processes.
