Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Agricultural Drone Sales and Support Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on demonstrating our cutting-edge drones, driving sales, providing technical support, and building a robust customer network. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about agriculture and technology, excels in customer engagement, and thrives in dynamic settings like trade shows.

Key ResponsibilitiesDrone Flight Demonstrations

  • Perform live drone flight demonstrations at customer sites, trade shows, and industry events to showcase TerraXplore’s agricultural drones, including the Talos T60X.
  • Conduct pre-flight setup, program flight paths, and analyze post-flight data to highlight features like precision spraying, crop monitoring, and terrain adaptability.
  • Tailor demonstrations to address specific customer needs and showcase the value of our solutions.

Sales and Network Building

  • Identify and engage prospective customers through cold calls, referrals, and industry events to generate leads and close sales.
  • Build and maintain a sales network by fostering relationships with farmers, agricultural cooperatives, and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted sales strategies and proposals that align with customer needs.

Technical Support

  • Provide first-level technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues related to drone hardware, software, and operations.
  • Assist clients with drone setup, configuration, and optimization for applications like crop scouting and spraying.
  • Document technical issues and escalate complex cases to the engineering team for resolution.

Trade Show Participation

  • Represent TerraXplore Drones Inc. at regional and national trade shows, such as the Farm Progress Show and Iowa Ag Expo, to promote our products.
  • Set up and manage booth displays, engage with attendees, and deliver compelling product presentations.
  • Collect leads and follow up with prospects post-event to convert interest into sales.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and advancements in agricultural drone technology to inform sales strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and technical support cases in the company’s CRM system.
  • Contribute to product feedback and improvement suggestions based on customer interactions and field experience.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agronomy, business, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, customer service, or technical support, preferably in agriculture or technology.
  • Experience with drone operations or precision agriculture is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire).
  • Strong sales and networking skills with a proven ability to build customer relationships.
  • Proficiency in operating agricultural drones and related software (e.g., flight planning, data analysis tools).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for demos and customer interactions.
  • Technical aptitude for troubleshooting drone hardware and software issues.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Zoho CRM, HubSpot) is an advantage.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel for trade shows and customer visits (up to 40% travel, including Midwest events like the Farm Progress Show).
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs (drone equipment and trade show materials).
  • Passion for agriculture, technology, and customer success.
