Description
The Sales Research Associate plays a key role in identifying new sales opportunities through proactive lead and account research. This position involves sourcing potential clients, qualifying leads via high-volume phone and email outreach, and cultivating relationships to build trust and rapport. The Associate will work closely with the sales team to route qualified leads, assist with territory mapping, and ensure the accuracy of CRM data entry and management. With a strong focus on customer needs and market trends, this role demands exceptional communication skills and a self-motivated, results-driven attitude. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Identify, pursue, and follow up on leads to establish sales and business development opportunities Source new sales opportunities through tele-qualifying, including inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and E-mail communications Investigate customer’s business purpose, needs, and requirements to identify opportunities Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest while maintaining updated data in the CRM Manage a CRM system with a high volume of leads and effectively manage and create account profiles, including documenting detailed and accurate notes, verifying all information and user fields, and tracking all related actions into the database Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure Assist with territory mapping within the CRM for the sales team Maintain knowledge of the industry and current market conditions to effectively communicate with key stakeholders Develop and maintain meaningful relationships and strong communications between accounts, and both the operations and sales team Organize and distribute promotional materials to potential and existing accounts Review sales performance regularly to ensure goals are being met and exceeded Provide administrative and marketing support as needed QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS At least one year in a high-volume phone customer service setting Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including detail orientation in data entry and data management Strong phone presence and experience dialing 70+ calls per day Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively Positive, self-motivated, and driven mentality Ability to successfully navigate conversations through emotional intelligence Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools including experience with a CRM Team-oriented and able to collaborate with a diverse group of individuals Ability to engage clients’ attention and time through effective communication strategies Position pay starting at $24.00/hour + PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The position is in an indoor, office environment, requires the ability to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors verbally and in writing, sit for periods of time, operate typical office equipment which requires seeing and the use of a keyboard.
