JOB SUMMARY
IMES are seeking to employ a sales /sales researcher to assist with business growth in the monitoring systems division based in Sheffield. In this role you will work closely with the Technical Manager and be responsible for our sales lead generation process. This role entails researching, identifying, and qualifying potential leads to accelerate the sales pipeline. Proactively researching and finding out relevant ongoing and upcoming projects, tenders, competitors, and potential clients, identifying correct person to contact and passing opportunity to the technical team. Ultimately assisting to deliver a functioning sales opportunity funnel and prospect list for our technical team to progress, you will achieve this by being familiar with the market in which we operate, being familiar with our competitors’ activities and industry trends.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Previous experience in similar role within an industrial environment, such as oil & gas, marine, mechanical handling.
You will have a track record of building a sustainable sales lead generation/sourcing process within industry.
Ability to read between the lines to identify prospects that are a match for IMES International service offerings.
Attention to detail is crucial.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Must be independent, self-motivated and success driven, and willing to work within a team environment.
Strong data management and analytical abilities
A results- and success-oriented mentality, with a drive to bring targets to closure.
Efficiently time manage and can adapt and adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
Salary dependent on experience and qualifications.

Responsible for finding out about relevant ongoing and upcoming projects, tenders, and recognising potential clients, obtaining the relevant contact information, and passing this information to the technical team to follow up.
Work with the technical team to determine the company’s and projects that require research and prospecting activities to secure additional qualified opportunities.
Accurately log all research and data and maintain for technical team to contact qualified leads.
Manage data integrity, keep information up-to-date, market research, monitor news stories, monitor feeds and alerts, collecting data from multiple sources for qualified leads. Once a lead is identified you are responsible for research the company, identify key contacts and obtaining contact information.
To develop a comprehensive knowledge of IMES product range, service offerings and project history and operating industry/markets as a whole to ensure accuracy and best fit sales lead generation.
Create scalable processes that ensure best practices in lead generation and database management.
Carrying out in-depth research relating to regions and sectors.
Supporting the sales lead generation process, by researching, identifying, and qualifying potential leads and prospects to build.
Focus on potential new business leads and carrying out extensive online research relating to current and future projects and trends.
