JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Senior Sales Finance Analyst to support our Sales Organization, including National Accounts (NA’s) and Customer Marketing. This role is instrumental in delivering financial insights that drive strategic decisions, optimize revenue, and improve profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the consumer goods industry, with experience in Revenue Growth Management (RGM), customer profitability analysis, and ERP systems. Strong business partnering skills are essential, as this role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to influence outcomes and drive performance.

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably within the consumer goods industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in Revenue Growth Management (RGM), including trade/spend optimization, and promotional analysis.
  • Proven track record of effective business partnering with commercial teams.
  • Strong understanding of commercial operations including sales, trade spend, and category analytics.
  • Experience evaluating the Return on Investment (ROI) analytics and performance of programs and events.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics) is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics) is a plus.
  • TPM (Trade Promotion Management) experience is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Work in office (Corp Headquarters – Greensboro NC) 1 to 2 days per week

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Partner with Commercial teams to deliver financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to NA’s and Customer Marketing, providing financial guidance and challenge where needed.
  • Support business initiatives including gross to net analytics, trade optimization, and channel/customer profitability analysis.
  • Analyze sales performance, contract spend, and promotional effectiveness to identify growth and margin improvement opportunities.
  • Support overhead and spend forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for commercial functions.
  • Evaluate the financial impact and effectiveness of programs and events, providing ROI analytical modeling that drives actionable insights to optimize future initiatives.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to senior leadership.
  • Support the annual operating plan and long-range strategic planning processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between financial goals and business strategies.
  • Contribute to ERP transitions (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) ensuring continuity and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Serve as both an SIP (Sales Incentive Planning) and Customer Profit subject matter expert to help drive Commercial Excellence in monitoring business, financial, and sales performance.
  • Identify opportunities and best practices to drive extended usage of existing customer profit initiatives and improve sales reporting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Synthesize current data; examines and identifies data patterns and trends to respond to business questions and empower data driven decisions.
  • Support the development and implementation of the TPM (Trade Promotion Management) platform and act as an ambassador to Sales on driving adoption and engagement
