Description

Sansom Equipment Limited is the leading distributor and service provider for generators, engines, pumps, blowers, valves, variable frequency drives and packaged engineered systems for industrial and municipal applications across Atlantic Canada.
As the agent for Hitachi Energy in Atlantic Canada, we are seeking a Sales Specialist – Energy and Power Grid to join the Sansom team, providing knowledge and expertise for Hitachi Energy solutions in the region. Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role provides an exciting opportunity to grow this line in our assigned territory.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Proven sales record with experience developing/implementing business plans for an assigned territory.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities with defined deadlines.
  • Solution focused and client centric with effective interpersonal and team building skills
  • Capable of travelling within the assigned territory of Atlantic Canada.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new opportunities to grow the pipeline.
  • Work with Hitachi Energy personnel, consultants, electrical contractors, and end users to determine customer needs and offer proper solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy in the CRM database for managing the sales pipeline and monthly order forecasting.
  • Develop sales plans, strategies, selling and business development initiatives for named accounts and new customers.
  • Coordinate with Hitachi Energy business units to provide a prompt response to customer requests.
  • Ensure seamless hand-off to the Project Coordinator during the award / shop drawing approval stage.
  • Become educated with Hitachi Energy’s portfolio. Provide in-depth technical knowledge for our customers when required.
