Description

THE OPPORTUNITY

Avantor is looking for a dedicated and high-energy Life Science Specialist to maintain and advance our local Life Science sales in workflows related to Genomics, Proteomics, and Cell Biology.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 0-3 years of sales experience, with preference in B2B sales, or a complex sales environment.
  • 2-3 years of life science research/lab experience required Outside sales experience a plus.
  • Must have a firm understanding of and experience within the life science research marketplace: Genomics, Proteomics, Cellular Science and Microbiology workflow knowledge
  • Excellent people skills in communicating and collaborating with customers, manufacturing reps, management, team members, and internal divisions-Portfolio, Marketing, and others.
  • Ability to carry on highly technical conversations related to Life Science workflows—genomics, Proteomics, and Cell Biology—with KOLs and decision-makers.
  • Ability to work independently and successfully manage time and territory.
  • Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and PowerPoint, with a preference for experience in CRM and/or Qlikview.
  • Holder of a valid Driver’s License in good standing.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations at least three days a week with some overnight travel.
Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to consultatively sell Avantor’s large portfolio of Life Science products and services to a diverse group of current and prospective clients.
